Een heftig verhaal en video gaan viral op Reddit. Een meisje is uit een rijdende auto ontsnapt nadat ze werd ontvoed. Het gebeurde in Lexington Kentucky.
Te zien is hoe het meisje wordt geholpen door mensen die het zagen gebeuren op straat. Ze halen o.a. de tape van haar lichaam en wachten samen met haar op de politie.
Iemand filmt het om te laten zien waar mensen toe in staat zijn om te doen. Er is veel verontwaardiging online ontstaan omdat plaatselijke media niets hebben gemeld over dit incident.
Ook vinden mensen dat ze nooit de tape eraf moeten halen vanwege DNA bewijs Iemand zegt: “I used to work in a forensic lab, and now if I was a victim I would want them to leave it on. Tape is a great collector of fingerprints. To anybody who may find themselves in this situation; scratch them; get their DNA under your fingernails. Attack the eyes first, whilst blinded, they cannot see you move. Attack the genitals, feet and nose (upper cut).”
