“He’s very delusional. Listen, if he was anywhere near that realm of great as Muhammad Ali, he’d be able to take his kids to school by himself. OK, he can’t take his kids to school by himself, and he’s talking about he’s great? Greatness is not guarding yourself from the people. It’s being accepted by the people. He can’t take his kids alone to school by himself. He’s a little scared man. He’s a very small, scared man.”
En verder: “To Mayweather’s credit, during the interview he did add: “If we’re judging fighters on standing for a cause, then it’s Ali hands down,” before making his claims. Muhammad Ali paved the way for me to be where I’m at today, he’s a legend. But when we talk about record breaking, we’ve got to talk about Ali losing his world title to a fighter with only seven fights… I have to take my hat off to Ali, but I didn’t give this sport 40 years to say that there’s another fighter better than me.
Ook doet Tyson eenvoorspelling over de mogelijk aankomende‘the fight of the century’ tussen Mayweather en McGregor:
“Conor McGregor is going to look really ridiculous boxing. But if he goes in there with the UFC stuff, then it could be pretty interesting. McGregor does not win in a boxing match.”
