Rihanna belande in een “beef” met Azealia Banks afgelopen zondag nadat zeuithaalde naar President Trump over zijn ‘Moslims-ban’. Zo tweette Rihanna: “Walgelijk. Het nieuws is verschrikkelijk! Amerika wordt voor onze ogen kapot gemaakt. Wat een immoreel varken moet je zijn om zulke onzin door te voeren.”
Al snel belande ze daarmee in het vizier van Azealia, die overduidelijk Trump support in zijn beslissing.
Zo plaatste Azealia: “As far as Rihanna (who isn’t a citizen, and can’t vote) and all the rest of the celebrities who are using their influence to stir the public, you lot really REALLY need to shut up and sit down,” Banks, 25, wrote. “Stop chastising the president. It’s stupid and pathetic to watch. All of these confused people confuse other confused people. Hoping the president fails is like getting on an airplane and hoping the pilot crashes. What makes you think, the the USA is going to enter the Middle East destroy a bunch of shit and pull out without any real repercussions ????”
Al snel reageerde Rihanna hierop met een Instagram post met als onderschrift “Het gezicht dat je maakt als je een immigrant bent” en noemde hierbij niet specifiek de naam van Banks.

In reactie hierop plaatste Azealia, die zich blijkbaar aangesproken voelde, opnieuw meerdere berichten op Insta waar ze ook Rihanna’s telefoonnummer met haar 466.000 volgers deelde.
